GENERAL QUESTIONS

Rock Eagle 4-H Center
Eatonton, GA
When is Summer Camp?
High School – July 22-26

Middle School – July 27-30
Where can parents find more information?
Right here! We provide a parent video, information packet and departure information on our site. If you have any more questions, you can always email us at summercamp@seacoast.org.
I’m not getting any emails from camp, what do I do?
Make sure to add emails@brushfire.com to your address book to ensure you get our emails. Sometimes emails go to your junk folder so please check that as well. If you are still not receiving emails, please contact us at summercamp@seacoast.org.

PHONES & RULES QUESTIONS

Are cell phones allowed at camp?
No cell phones are allowed at camp. We want Summer Camp to be a distraction-free week for students, and few things distract students as much as their phones. Over the years, we’ve found that taking students out of their regular routine opens them up to hear from Jesus in ways they haven’t before.

Before we leave for camp, we will give you a contact number for emergencies only. All of our leaders will have cell phones so your student will have access to a phone if they need to reach you.
What are the camp rules?
If we have an issue with your student breaking the rules or any other behavioral issues, you will be contacted and will need to come pick up your student. This will be handled on a case-by-case basis depending on the rules that are broken.

• Respect the people, respect the place
• No romantic displays of affection
• Be on time for all services and activities

FINANCIAL QUESTIONS

How can I help send a student to camp?
We never want the cost of camp to be the reason students can’t attend. To help send a student who may not be able to afford to go, please contact your church youth pastor for how to donate directly to students at your church.
Do you offer refunds?
After signing up for Summer Camp, your money is non-refundableIn the unlikely event that Summer Camp 2023 is cancelled, your registration would be refundable.
Do I need to send money to camp?
We will have snacks and souvenirs available for purchase. While it is not necessary to send additional money, we recommend $50 for the week.

CAMP SPECIFIC QUESTIONS

How can I contact my student in the event of an emergency?
There will be an emergency phone line for you to call and get in contact with your student. It will be sent to you as part of the virtual parent meeting in June and posted on this page prior to camp.
How does my student get to camp?
Transportation is provided as part of your registration. All students registered with Seacoast Church will travel on Charter Buses. Please be aware that we do not depart from every location. We will post departure locations prior to camp on this page and it is important that you depart from the location your campus is assigned to ensure we have a seat for your student. If you are planning on bringing your student directly to camp or picking them up from camp, please email us at summercamp@seacoast.org so we can make a note on your students registration.
What does my student eat at camp?
The Rock Eagle 4-H Center features a state-of-the-art dining hall, which offers buffet-style meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Center also features the snack shop which will be open during free time and late at night for campers to purchase good and refreshments. If your student has food allergies, please indicate this on the registration form. Rock Eagle is set up to accommodate most food allergies. And its dining hall is peanut free. If your student has extreme food allergies, please email us at summercamp@seacoast.org so we can work with you directly and the 4-H Center to make sure we can accommodate your student.
How do you handle food allergies and dietary restrictions?
The dining hall at camp can accommodate most food allergies & dietary restrictions. Please be sure to note all food allergies or dietary restrictions on your student’s registration form so we can let the dining staff know. If you student has severe allergies, please contact us at summercamp@seacoast.org. There are some situations where supplemental food may need to be sent to camp with the student.
What are the sleeping arrangements at camp?
Rock Eagle 4-H Center is set up so that every camper has a twin bed to sleep in! Lodging is set up in cabins of 22 bunks beds. There are six rooms in each building and a common space area. Five of the rooms are designed for students with 4 bunk beds and a private bathroom. They also have a cubby space for each camper with 3 drawers to keep their personal belongings. The sixth room is for the two leaders assigned to the cabin and features a similar set up with just two beds.
Will there be security?
Yes. We will have a security team at Summer Camp to ensure your students' safety. For every ten students, there will be a volunteer room leader. This leader has been background checked and interviewed. In addition, the 4-H center provides additional security 24/7.
